Paul Grover Answers Businessweek's Big Question
How can Washington help business create jobs? It's the Big Question that Businessweek.com decided to ask 25 non-politicians across the country, including Robert Paul Properties' Paul Grover.
Paul is in good company, with a firefighter, an art director and a law professor along with CEOs and economists, the list of 25 also includes: Former US Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers, Talk Show Host Conan O'Brien, and Former CEO of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina.
When asked, "How would you get the government to help American business?" Paul said, "While uncertain investment returns are helping to stimulate a flight to high-quality real estate, I believe Washington's strongest contribution to business would be to instill some confidence in its citizens that both sides are working together for the good of the country. To suggest that the next election will resolve matters is an empty concept. The lack of responsible leadership from our elected officials is as much to blame for the current problems in American business as is anything else."
